- Every number comes from our own five-minute candles for the NSE F&O cash names, not from a third-party end-of-day file.
- Close is the close of the last five-minute candle of the session (15:25–15:30). Continuous trading in the cash market ends at 15:15 and the closing auction prints inside that last candle, so that candle carries the day's closing price.
- Previous close is the close of the last candle of the previous session, read the same way.
- The pre-open bars before 09:15 are left out, and so is anything stamped 15:30 or later.
- Traded value is the volume of each five-minute candle multiplied by that candle's price, added up over 09:15 to 15:30. It therefore includes the closing-auction print, which lands inside the 15:25 candle, so it is not comparable with figures that count continuous trading only.
- Names with a corporate action on this session's ex-date (dividend, split, bonus) are left out, because the price gap across an ex-date is the action and not a move in the market: none on this session.
- A name is listed only when we hold candles on both sessions, which is why the count is 210 and not a round number.
- Ranks are by percentage change, close to close.

A name whose corporate action goes ex on the session is left out too, because the price gap across an ex-date is the action and not a move in the market.
When does this page update?
While the session is running the page shows the bars up to the newest five-minute candle we hold, says which candle that is, and is redrawn every few minutes. The finished session settles after 15:30, and every session also has a dated link of its own, kept for about a month.
