- Each stock's normal volume is built minute by minute from its own last ten sessions, with the recent sessions weighted more. A stock is compared with itself, at the same time of day: 2× at 10:00 means twice what it usually trades by 10:00.
- A stock is listed when it is at least 2× its own normal and at least 2× the market's typical multiple at that minute, so a busy day for everyone does not flood the list.
- A stock new to F&O with fewer than ten sessions of history is shown with a note saying so.
- The same scan runs live inside TBTflow every minute from 09:15 IST.
What this list cannot tell you. Heavy volume says many shares changed hands, not who started it or what comes next. Every buyer had a seller. Results days, block deals and index rebalances bring heavy volume too.
